It is a formative experience that has few equals in Italy and in Europe, because it allows students to study in a public university that values merit as a driver of social development, and to live for free on a campus characterized by the constant exchange of ideas. The Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa has announced that enrolment is open for the competitive entrance exam for admission to the first and second level Ordinary Courses: 78 places in total, divided into 60 places for I Level Courses and Single-Cycle Courses and 18 places for II Level Courses, for a unique educational experience on an international campus that combines excellent teaching, early exposure to research, experiences abroad and a constant exchange between teachers and students for a complete education and personal growth. Those who pass the national competition will have the opportunity to study at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, an institution that ranks first in Italy out of 19 universities surveyed and thirteenth in the world according to THE - Young University Rankings 2024
The deadline for submitting applications for the entrance exam is 12 noon on July 29, 2025 for first-level programs, and 12 noon on June 24, 2025 for second-level  programs.

"The competition at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies is a great opportunity for those who want to put themselves to the test and demonstrate that, through merit, talent and knowledge, it is possible to make an important contribution to the challenges of our time. For the academic year 2025/26, we are promoting admission to second-level degree courses for Italian and foreign undergraduates or graduates of first-level degree courses. We hope to increase the number of places available in the coming weeks thanks to the support of the Il Talento all'Opera Foundation and the Luca Cavallini Foundation,“ said Sabina Nuti, Rector of the Sant'Anna School.

”You don't have to be a genius to become part of the Sant'Anna School. It takes determination, commitment and study to pass the entrance exam, both at the first and second level. The opportunities that open up for those who become students of the School are unique: not only innovative, interdisciplinary teaching strongly linked to research, but also the possibility of studying abroad, of internships in institutions and companies of great prestige. In addition to a stimulating collegiate life, with students coming from all over the world,“ says Anna Loretoni, dean of the academic department of Social Sciences.

”Training and research: an indissoluble combination that allows our students to live a unique and cutting-edge experience. Becoming a student at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies means committing to trying to influence social and technological transformations; it means laying the foundations for facing the challenges of our time; it means immersing oneself in an environment of continuous comparison in which merit and competence make the difference,” comments Christian Cipriani, Dean of the Academic Department of Experimental and Applied Sciences.
